Lauren MedinA Oh
Chronic pain warrior, mental health advocate, empowered Latina, justice seeker, nature lover...these are just a few of the roles I embody that influence my perspective and writing.
When my health took a turn for the worse a few years ago, I was scared, confused, and unsure if I could trust God with the future. Led by my pain and heartache, I was driven to a deeper level of dependence on God than I had ever experienced before. The seeds of suffering grew into a beautifully renewed faith and a new outlook, abundant in the love and hope of Christ. My overarching goal for all of my creative work is to point people towards that hope.
After a long medical journey, I now know that I have Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, a connective tissue disorder that causes chronic pain and injuries to my musculoskeletal system. As I navigate life with this health condition, I seek to use my experiences for good, offering encouragement and support to others who are hurting in this broken world.

As you read my writing, I pray that you will be filled with the peace of knowing that you are dearly loved by God. Yes, there is pain, but there is also so much beauty here. You are not alone.
